Effective teams can accomplish more than individuals working alone. But the key is “effective teams.” For example, unresolved conflict in a team can result in project failure. As a leader, your job is to recognize and address team issues as they arise and to facilitate communication and cooperation among team members.
This course describes how to influence teams by encouraging authentic participation and by helping the team resolve business and interpersonal challenges. At the end of this course you should be able to:
+ Explain typical team challenges faced in the workplace.+ Identify common team tools useful in helping teams achieve their intended results.+ Describe skills in dealing with conflicts among members of the team.+ Outline actions that can be taken to handle difficult situations.+ Explain what organizational support teams need and how to obtain it.
