Course Description

The purpose of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems class is to enhance your knowledge of solar energy systems. It will cover the history of solar energy, an explanation of how solar energy works, descriptions of the different types of solar energy available, the advantages and disadvantages of solar systems, an overview of the considerations for evaluating solar sites, the codes and requirements for installation and how to determine if Solar Photovoltaic energy is the best way for you or your clients to move forward with renewable energy systems.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

+ Explain the basic principles that apply to solar energy operation.
+ Have a basic understanding of the different types of solar systems.
