Course Description

There are likely many different demands placed upon your time, your energy and your attention. Getting everything done sometimes seems an impossible task, but it is not, if you plan your time and use it wisely. You only have 24 hours in a day: use each hour efficiently.

This course provides a framework and learning activities designed to increase your awareness of the importance of using time effectively and insight into your current time-use patterns and habits. Guidelines provide direction for maintaining focus on priorities, reducing current time wasters, and developing a goal-based approach to managing time and multiple priorities.
At the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Identify your current time-use habits.
  • Sequence top-priority tasks, responsibilities and priorities.
  • Develop daily and weekly plans to better control use of time.
  • Appraise personal time wasters and develop ideas to avoid, reduce, or eliminate them.
  • Apply a goal-based planning approach to improve the matching of time to priorities.
