A pathway to accelerate the commercialization of technology and support innovation is through collaboration with established private sector organizations. The course is aligned with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/SBTT) Phase III objectives for small businesses to pursue growth efforts in the commercial marketplace.
This course is for researchers, entrepreneurs, inventors, project and program engineers, research directors, leaders of technical organizations and technical staff who have a stake in commercializing technology-based products and ventures. At the end of this course you should be able to:
+ Assess and quantify gaps between current and desired commercialization readiness.
+ Identify and assess new market opportunities.
+ Recognize market opportunities which can provide value added differentiation.
+ Assess and quantify gaps between current and desired technology performance.
+ Understand and overcome barriers for success in the commercial marketplace.
