CPE 1013 Leading Projects and Teams

Each new product or service offered in the marketplace is the result of a successfully completed project. This course provides information and insights into key aspects of project management and the responsibilities of project leaders and team members while looking into what kind of support an organization must give a project team in order for it to succeed.

The course also covers the stages of a project, the stages of team development, and how to run effective team meetings. At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Describe the basic approaches of leadership which can be applied to a wide range of projects.
  • List and describe the key skills and processes associated with project team success.          
  • Describe the support needed in order for project teams to function at high performance levels.
  • Define the basic skills needed to lead teams and others on a project.
  • Identify ways in which to mitigate team dysfunctions and promote shared responsibility.
