Take control of your career!
Successful careers are built on two things: a list of goals and a plan. Think about where you are in life and ask yourself if you feel that you are on a trajectory toward success. Before you start looking at where you are and what you need to learn, take a step back and decide what success means to you. What we mean is that you must assign an attribute – a specific goal – to the concept of success, and then you can evaluate whether you have achieved success in that goal.

Without goals you cannot know if or when you have achieved what you set out to do; and you cannot know when you are finished and ready to move to the next goal. Without specific goals, you will not know if you have succeeded.
